Purchase: I ordered this saddle from Sycamore Creek in January on the internet because I wanted a custom saddle for my Tennessee Walker. I paid 603 total - which included the saddle, matching breast collar, leather girth and shipping.

Likes: After many emails back and forth with Tony - who is wonderful I might add. I originally chose a different saddle and he told me right away that it was a new design and he was advising it be discontinued because it was rather uncomfortable and he didn't recommend it. Talk about honesty! So I chose the TAS008 with some modifications in design and color and he was happy to make the customizations I requested. After he received the photos of my Tennessee Walker and measurements - I received the saddle about 6 weeks later and it was absolutely GORGEOUS! It was exactly what I had envisioned!

Dislikes: Sadly - even though the saddle fit the horse - I didn't fit the saddle! It was just a little too small for me and I had ordered the 17.5" seat. The measurement was to the top of the pommel - so my legs touched the bottom of it because it slants inward...I would have probably needed a 19" in that style. Tony checked for me to see if they could make it larger - but they could not. So my beautiful saddle was returned. On that note - I have to say - that even though it was a custom saddle - Tony didn't hesitate in taking the return.

Quality: I can't believe how thick the leather was. This is definitely a saddle that will last a lifetime. Very well made with quality products.

Summary: I will definitely be ordering from him in the future - as soon as I manage to get a little bit of this weight off. I have looked at $1,000 saddles at my local Western stores (Dallas TX area) - and the quality of Tony's saddles are still unmatched. You can't beat quality...and you certainly can't find a custom saddle for that price anywhere else!!
