Likes: I have a small horse with a very short back and I need a large seat saddle because of my long leg. Tony Pritchett of Sycamore Creek Saddlery worked with me over a two month period to fit me and my horse with a gorgeous, excellently made, soft leather endurance style saddle (he has other styles as well) that just disappeared under me on a 2.5 hour trail ride up and down hills. Stirrups are hung so your feet go straight in without twisting the leathers. The saddles are made in Colombia primarily for Passo Finos. My horse is a Racking Horse built quite like a Passo. We have tried the saddle on an Arab and it fit him well too. Different trees are also available. If you want a beautiful, well made saddle from a person at a company that takes your and your horse's needs seriously, will let you try your saddle, and isn't happy until you're happy, this is for you.

Dislikes: The stirrups are metal and covered in thin leather. There is no padding. They could be a tad larger. Leathers could be a bit longer for longer legged riders. A couple more rings to hang gear would be nice, but there are several on the saddle.

Quality: Workmanship is superb. Leather is like butter and wears VERY well. Underside is leather making it easy to keep clean. Lots of comfortable padding on both the horse's and rider's sides of the saddle. No breaking in. No turning fenders which lie flat under the leg with stirrups hung perpendicular to leathers. Comes with leather cinch. cinch straps for both sides, and crupper.

Summary: Comfortable perfectly fit saddle for me and my horse. Great construction and materials. Equally great service from company.
